EPCOT — FROZEN EVER — NORWAY PAVILION
Frozen fans will love the new ride at Epcot, Frozen Ever After. And… “for the first time in forever”… fans have a chance for a royal meet and greet with Princess Anna and Queen Elsa at the Royal Sommerhus.
The Norway Pavilion has been entirely reimagined. Disney has created a picturesque and authentic Norwegian village complete with a historic log cabin, the Royal Sommerhus… the new character meet and greet site.
The new ride, Frozen Ever After, is based upon the Oscar winning hit movie, Frozen, the highest grossing animated film of all time. Disney shared this… “What we try to do is take you back to the movie without retelling that story.” Guests will journey to Arendelle aboard a viking ship for a “Summer Snow Day” celebration. Queen Elsa will use her magical powers to make it snow on a sunny day.
Dockside at the Bay of Arendelle, you will pass Wandering Oaken’s Trading Post and Sauna, where Oaken wipes steam from the windows and greets everyone with his trademark “Yoo-hoo!” Once aboard, you will pass friendly Olaf the snowman iceskating and Sven the reindeer, Kristoff’s loyal friend. Next, you will float along through Troll Valley where Grandpappy Troll tells the story of how Princess Anna and Kristoff first met. You will encounter icy Marshmallow, the enormous, evil snowman. Finally, you will be transported to Queen Elsa’s palace, where the Ice Queen makes it snow as she sings, “Let It Go”. All the favorite characters gather for your send-off amidst a fireworks finale.
Disney Imagineers traveled to Norway to research the country’s geography, architecture, culture and mythology, in order to create this rethemed pavilion and Arendelle, the fictional waterfront village. Just as in the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at Magic Kingdom, the animatronic figures will use rear-projection technology to make them appear more lifelike. Throughout the ride, you will hear favorite Frozen tunes like, “For the First Time in Forever”, “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” and “Let It Go”.
Next door at the Royal Sommerhus, your kids will have a chance for a royal greeting from Queen Elsa and Princess Anna inside their cozy summer log cabin. Make the Norway Pavilion one of your top destinations on your next Epcot visit and see all your Frozen friends on Frozen Ever After.
